Hooties 12 Days of Christmas - Days 5 and 6

I am two months delayed with this SALand I need to speed up if I want it ready for this year Christmas.

For people who don’t know my design is called “Hooties 12 Days of Christmas”, it is designed by PinoyStitch and consists on 12 owls disguised in the appropriate custom for the number they have following the famous carroll 12 Days of Christmas.

This time I did number 5 and 6, which correspond to 5 golden rings and 6 Geese-a-laying. And there is where I am at that moment.

On the first day of Christmas,

my true love sent to me

A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas,

my true love sent to me

Two turtle doves,

And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the third day of Christmas,

my true love sent to me

Three French hens,

Two turtle doves,

And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas,

my true love sent to me

Four calling birds,

Three French hens,

Two turtle doves,

And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas,

my true love sent to me

Five golden rings,

Four calling birds,

Three French hens,

Two turtle doves,

And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas,

my true love sent to me

Six geese a-laying,

Five golden rings,

Four calling birds,

Three French hens,

Two turtle doves,

And a partridge in a pear tree.

Hooties Days of Christmas - Day 3

I am bit delayed with this post as I wanted to publish on the 20th April. But days are being so lovely and summery that I prefer to be out in my back yard and I am very lazy for going inside and sit in the computer.

Anyway, other month is gone and I am going to present the thrid hootie corresponding to the SAL organized by the blog Christmas Ornie SAL.This one is representing the three french hens. I am going one owl delayed and trying to catch up, but I have many other projects and no time to advance more in this.

Hooties Days of Christmas - Day 2

I finished my second owl of the Hooties 12 Days of Christmas. I am doing it with the call for threads and in Aida white 18 count fabric. I love every day more the design.

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me,

A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me,

Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.

Hooties Days of Christmas - Day 1

I can guess most of people in UK know the song 12 Days of Christmas. For people who don’t know, “the Twelve Days of Christmas” is an english Christmas carol that enumerate in the manner of a cumulative song a series of increasingly grand gifts given on each of the 12 days of Christmas (starting on the Christmas Day).

I am going to participate this year in Christmas Ornie SAL and my choice for that SAL is “the 12 days of Christmas” option. The design I am stitching is "Hooties Days of Christmas" from PinoyStitch bought in Etsy. I chose a pale grey Aida 18 count fabric with the original colours threads given in the chart by DMC.

I am a bit delayed because I am doing the first owl in February when it was due on January, the choice of the pattern wasn’t easy, but I will try to catch up……
